Fall has come around again when the Fizz Bomb Classic takes over the CamPlex Event Center in Gillette, Wyoming. The 2022 event was just as exciting as the last 40 years of this premier barrel race produced by Thar Ranch Productions.

Brittany Diaz and Dudes Spring Fling took home the Futurity Champion title this year, and pocketed more than $9,548 in the Futurity alone. The duo clocked an average time of 30.363 in the Futurity.

In the Derby, Carley Cervi and Slym Shady (Frenchman’s Fabulous) earned the Champion spot with an average time of 30.235 seconds. View Derby Average Results here:

The Wendy Larson Memorial, held in conjunction with the FizzBomb every year, is open to barrel racers 50 years and older. The memorial race honors the kind of person Wendy was, and aims to remind barrel racers to enjoy life and their shared passion, and to always, always have fun.

In the first round of the 2022 Wendy Larson Memorial, Della Epler on No Boots on This Lion took the top spot and cashed a $731.00 check. In the second round, it was Anne Ahern on Toast To Dinero on the top of the leaderboard, earning a $745.00 purse.
