The Natrona County Coroner’s Office, in collaboration with the Casper Police Department, is investigating a death that occurred on August 10, 2025.
According to Natrona County Coroner James Whipps, the deceased is 34-year-old Evander James Eagleroad of Riverton, Wyoming. An autopsy was conducted, and scientific identification was made. Next of kin has been notified.
The investigation is still ongoing, and more information about the circumstances of the death will be released later.
According to a Casper Police Department statement, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 700 block of N. Center Street in Casper at 3:33 PM.
There were numerous calls regarding the incident. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 34-year-old adult male with an apparent gunshot wound.
He was taken to Wyoming Medical Center and later pronounced dead.
Witnesses at the scene identified an adult male suspect, who was later located and transported to the Casper Police Department for questioning.
Investigators believe this is a one-time incident involving known individuals.
