What are the requirements to receive SNAP Florida benefits?
Work rules:Â People between the ages of 16 and 59 must comply with the General Work Requirements for SNAP, unless they are exempt, such as being unable to work, caring for young children or incapacitated persons, or being students. In addition, adults between the ages of 18 and 59, unless exempt, must work or participate in the SNAP Employment and Training Program (SNAP E&T)
Income:Â Most households must pass a gross income limit at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL).
Residency:Â Individuals must be Florida residents.
Citizenship:Â Individuals must be U.S. citizens or have qualified non-citizen status.
SSN:Â Individuals must provide a Social Security Number or proof that they have applied for one.
