(Riverton, WY) – On Saturday, August 23rd, at approximately 0358 hours, the Fremont County Dispatch Center received a 911 call reporting that a male had been stabbed in the 100 Block of Honor Farm Road.
After arriving on the scene, FCSO Deputies and Riverton Police Department Officers spoke with a group of young people on the side of Honor Farm Road.
One young male appeared to have been stabbed and was unconscious. The juvenile was declared dead at the scene despite the efforts of law enforcement and emergency medical services to provide medical assistance.
The juvenile was fatally stabbed after a physical altercation involving a large group of males who were acquainted with one another, according to the investigation.
Before law enforcement arrived on the scene, the suspect and a number of the parties involved had already left. As of right now, no suspects are being held. This incident seems to have been unique to the people involved and not a random occurrence.
