Cassie Says Husband Punched Wall After Learning Diddy Allegedly Raped Her

Cassie Testifies Alex Fine Punched Wall After She Revealed Alleged Rape by Diddy

During her emotional testimony on Friday, May 16, singer Cassie Ventura revealed that her now-husband, Alex Fine, punched a wall after she told him she had allegedly been raped by music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Cassie, who was dating Fine at the time of the alleged assault in September 2018, shared this detail when questioned about whether Fine knew she had sexual encounters with Combs. The couple had just started seeing each other before going public with their relationship in December of that year.

Cassie testified that the first encounter with Combs was non-consensual, while the second was consensual. Diddy has denied all allegations of rape.

Combs’ defense attorney, Anna Estevao, brought up Fine’s reaction — punching a wall — seemingly to cast doubt on Cassie’s claims. She suggested that Ventura may have labeled the incident as rape to hide infidelity from her then-new boyfriend.

To support their argument, the defense shared text messages from August and September 2018 that showed Cassie and Combs exchanging affectionate messages. In one message on September 26, the two told each other “I love you,” and when Combs asked to hold her, Cassie responded, “we can embrace lol.”

Estevao asked Cassie why she never mentioned rape in those messages. “You don’t say anything to the effect of the last time we saw each other you raped me?” the lawyer pressed. Cassie replied, “Right.”

“In fact, you’re saying you want to keep the peace?” Estevao continued, to which Cassie again said yes.

According to the texts, Cassie and Combs had sex again on September 27, even though she was already in a relationship with Fine and expecting their first child.

Cassie clarified that this was not the night she was raped. Explaining why she went back to Combs, she said, “We’d been together 10 years. You just don’t turn feelings off that way.”

While Alex Fine has supported Cassie and attended court during much of her testimony, he was not allowed in the courtroom during her questioning about the alleged rape. The defense noted he could be called to testify later.

Cassie also testified that the last time she saw Combs in person before the trial was at the memorial service for his ex, Kim Porter, in November 2018. Porter, who died that month, was the mother of four of Combs’ seven children.

In a November 19 text exchange, Combs accused Cassie of leaving him at the memorial. She replied, “I didn’t just leave you. I said goodbye a few times. I want to be with you but need to be with grandma.”

She added: “I know how crazy and painful this is. You compared me to [ex] Gina [Huynh] the other day and you posted Kim was your soulmate. What was the 11 years all about?”
