Lander City Council will review art gift agreement for Jaycee Park during a special meeting Tuesday

(Lander, WY) –  The Lander City Council will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, September 16, at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 240 Lincoln Street.

The agenda contains four ordinances on second reading:

amending the “Compensation of Officers and Employees” section of the Lander Municipal Code

granting a franchise to Visionary Communications to operate and maintain a telecommunications system in Lander

rezoning 569 Garfield from R-5 Multi-Family Residential to C-Commercial

rezoning 765 Garfield from R-5 Multi-Family Residential to C-Commercial

The council will also consider authorizing the mayor to sign an art donation agreement with Potters of the Wind Rivers.

According to the agreement, the organization aims to provide the city with original art panels for public benefit, cultural enrichment, and community enjoyment.

The artwork will be installed at Jaycee Park, per the agreement.

Other items on the special meeting agenda are:

appoint Peny Rogers and Marilyn Fisher to the Housing Authority Board

approve the Rocky Mountain Power STreet Lighting Agreement

approve a Lander Municipal Airport hangar space land lease agreement

authorize the mayor to sign an energy retrofit grant contract with the Wyoming Energy Authority

authorize the mayor to sign Civic Plus Parks and Recreation Management Credit Card Terminals

The meeting is open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on Zoom.
