Casper signs transit agreements with other Natrona County cities and establishes fees for FY26

CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper City Council approved contracts with Mills, Evansville, and Bar Nunn on Tuesday, so residents of Casper’s neighboring cities will now have access to public transportation throughout the upcoming fiscal year.

According to the agreements with the other municipalities, Mills will pay up to $41,439.45, Evansville up to $41,303.19, and Bar Nunn up to $5,032.47 for transit services in fiscal year 2026.

The council also approved the new public transit rates for the current fiscal year, which differ only slightly from the existing rates.

A single ride on the city’s LINK service will now be $1.25 rather than $1. A subsidized pass is now $15, having previously been free.

However, the cost of a student/youth ride has been reduced from $0.75 to $0.50, and the cost of a student monthly pass has been decreased from $25 to $15.

ASSIST rides for qualified riders, seniors, and youth have been raised to $2.50 across the board, while general public rides remain unchanged.
