WISCONSIN — Madison Police Department officials said Monday that two people died in a crash on the city’s east side last week.
Around 3:25 p.m. Friday, a vehicle from a local car dealership on a test drive collided with a 53-year-old woman’s car as she turned left into a parking lot on Commercial Avenue. The two occupants of the dealership vehicle, aged 65 and 64, were pronounced dead on the scene.
According to police, the crash resulted in a second collision involving two other vehicles. One driver was injured but is expected to recover, and the other was unharmed.
The 53-year-old woman is cooperating with investigators and has been released after the initial investigation. Authorities said the crash is still being investigated.
