Casper, Wyo. – One person was killed and another sustained minor injuries in a crash involving a semi and a box truck on State Highway US 20/26 outside of Casper around 4:40pm on September 19.
According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol’s preliminary report, the semi was heading west and the box truck east. It may have attempted a U-turn in front of the semi.
Shortly after the crash, the semi carrying hay caught fire. Two bystanders rescued the semi truck driver and his dog. The driver of the box truck did not survive.
