Law enforcement officers discovered a large amount of alleged methamphetamine and several firearms at an apartment where they arrested two people.
The arrests took place on September 19 when the All Crimes Enforcement Team (ACET), assisted by the Moffat County Sheriff’s Office, Craig Police Department, and the Special Response Team, executed a search warrant at a Craig apartment complex. According to ACET’s investigation, an illegal drug distribution occurred at the residence.
Authorities arrested Dustin Hyatt, 48, and Tanya Vallejos, 46, for illegally distributing controlled substances. Hyatt, a convicted felon, faces additional charges of possessing a previous offender after officers discovered a rifle, three handguns, and other weapons in the apartment.
Hyatt was previously arrested on March 20 for possessing multiple voyeuristic photographs in a public restroom. He placed his phone in a women’s restroom at a restaurant in Steamboat Springs about ten times last year, taking 51 photos of approximately 33 victims.
Hyatt pleaded guilty to invasion of privacy for sexual gratification, and his sentencing is scheduled for November 19.
Hyatt appeared in court on Wednesday and was issued a $100,000 bond for the most recent incident.
