by WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – A man in his mid-20s was killed early Sunday morning in a single-car crash on Hazle Street in Wilkes-Barre.
According to the Luzerne County Coroner’s Office, the crash happened just before 6 a.m. near the intersection of Hazle Street and Hill Street. The vehicle struck a tree, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man’s identity has not been released yet, as authorities are still notifying his family.
The Wilkes-Barre Police Department’s crash reconstruction team is actively investigating what led to the accident.
