An 18-year-old Long Island sicko allegedly raped two 11-year-old boys he met on Snapchat, dismissing the sick abuse as a prank or dare, according to prosecutors.
Bradley Schioppa, also known as “paxonhotsg5,” allegedly joined a Snapchat conversation for 11-year-old boys in the Smithtown area in April, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office.
According to the DA’s office, the boys assumed Schioppa was around their age and did not question his participation in the chat.
Prosecutors said they didn’t realize Schioppa was older until he started showing up in person at places where the boys gathered, such as Robert A. Brady Park in Smithtown.
Authorities say he drove the boys around in his car, bought them snacks and soft drinks, and played prank games with them.
During their outings, Schioppa allegedly sexually abused one of the boys in the Brady Park bathroom and the other in a Smithtown CVS restroom, according to prosecutors.
According to authorities, in both cases, he allegedly framed the abuse as a prank or dare for which the boys would be paid.
According to prosecutors, in May 2025, the mother of one of the boys discovered messages between Schioppa and her son.
When she questioned her pre-teen son, he disclosed the alleged abuse.
On May 21, police launched an investigation and arrested Schioppa, a Bay Shore resident.
Schioppa was arraigned Tuesday on charges of first-degree rape, second-degree sexual abuse, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Acting Supreme Court Justice Karen M. Wilutis ordered him held in cash for $450,000, a $900,000 bond, or a $4.5 million partially secured bond.
He is due back in court on July 8 and could face 25 years in prison if convicted on the top count.
“This defendant is accused of committing horrific acts against two innocent children,” District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney stated. “These charges reflect the gravity of the alleged misconduct. Protecting our most vulnerable residents, particularly children, remains my top priority. We will pursue this case to the full extent of the law in order to provide the justice that these children deserve.”
Investigators are currently looking into whether Schioppa had any other victims.
