Rain and dust storms in the southern part of the Valley

PHOENIX — Stormy weather moved into the southern portion of the Valley Thursday night.

The National Weather Service in Phoenix said its radar detected a cluster of cells developing in southern Maricopa County.

The NWS also reported that storms are developing in Pinal County.

8:15 p.m. – NWS is tracking storm activity in Roosevelt.

7:30 p.m. – A monsoon thunderstorm produced a downburst over the I-10 between Eloy and Cassa Grande, according to the NWS.

7:30 p.m. – NWS is tracking storm activity in Casa Grande, Arizona City and La Palma.

7 p.m. – Showers are moving into the Phoenix metro area, NWS says.

6:55 p.m. – NWS is tracking storm activity in Guadalupe, Komatke and Gila Crossing.

6:50 p.m. – NWS is tracking storm activity in Mesa, Scottsdale and Tempe.

6 p.m. – NWS is tracking storm activity in Florence, Coolidge and Randolph.

5:30 p.m. – A blowing dust advisory has been issued for I-10, Loop-202, and Highway 347 until 6 p.m.

5:10 p.m. – Moving north on highway 347 from Maricopa, cameras have picked up on heavy rain and blowing dust ahead of the rain.

4:55 p.m. – Storms are developing in Pinal County

4:50 p.m. – NWS is tracking stormy weather in Maricopa, Casa Blanca and Ak-Chin Village.

3:05 p.m. –NWS said it radar has picked up a cluster of cells developing in the souther portion of Maricopa County.
