As of 5 p.m. Friday, the storm was located at 30.8°N, 79.0°W, with sustained winds of 35 mph and a forward motion of just 2 mph.

In east-central Georgia, including Macon and Augusta, residents can expect localized downpours and occasional lightning starting Saturday afternoon. In South Carolina, cities like Columbia and Charleston will likely see off-and-on showers through Sunday evening. Southern North Carolina may also experience rain as the system weakens further inland by Monday morning.
