CINCINNATI – A West Price Hill couple has been indicted on charges of drowning their baby.

Degary Burbridge and Kiara Nettles, both 19, are accused of leaving their five-month-old son alone in the bathtub on May 16.

Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich said the couple left the baby alone in a baby bathtub filled with water.

A third person inquired about the baby, prompting Burbridge and Nettles to check on him. Pillich reported that they discovered him facedown and unresponsive.

Both were charged with involuntary manslaughter, reckless homicide, and child endangerment. If found guilty, they could face up to 17 years in prison each.
