Police have issued an arrest warrant for a man who allegedly pistol-whipped a pregnant woman in the middle of the street and dragged her inside an apartment.
Rodelfy Liriano Corniel faces an arrest warrant for Simple Assault after police say he physically attacked another person.
Police say they responded to 550 Alter Street just before 11:00 a.m. on July 11 for a report of a man assaulting another person.
According to Hazleton City Police, Corniel fled the scene with the pistol before officers could block off a two-block radius near Alter and Second streets in Hazleton.
The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to the release.
Hazleton City Police are asking anyone with information on Corniel’s whereabouts to call 911 or submit a tip via their Crimewatch page.
