Thousands of Alaskans are eagerly awaiting the next stimulus payment from the authorities. The state will pay $1,702, which is a significant financial assistance for the residents and is part of the Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) program.
Since 1980, this initiative has been able to provide financial benefits to citizens and assist them in better coping with the United States’ difficult economic situation.
This program benefits residents’ economies, as well as the local and state economies. Approximately 600,000 residents are eligible for this benefit and are awaiting additional information on how to receive the payment.
In fact, with July already underway, thousands are wondering how the process is going and when they will receive a new stimulus payment.
What are the requirements to receive the $1,702 stimulus payment?
There are four key factors that Alaska residents must check to qualify for this benefit:
Continuous residency: You must have lived in Alaska for the entire calendar year 2023.
Do not claim foreign residency: It is essential not to have claimed residency or received any benefits from another state or country.
Clean legal history: Applicants must have a legal record with no felony convictions
Absence limits: You must not have been absent from Alaska for more than 180 days during the year 2023
How long will you have to wait for the next $1,702 stimulus payment?
According to the official schedule, the next payment will be on August 21, 2025. Here is the full schedule with two payment dates already made:
Requests for 2024 (and earlier) dividends that are in “Eligible – Unpaid” status on June 11, 2025, will be distributed on June 18, 2025.
Requests for 2024 (and prior years) dividends that are in “Eligible – Not Paid” status on July 9, 2025, will be distributed on July 17, 2025.
Dividend requests for 2024 (and earlier years) that are in “Eligible – Unpaid” status on August 13, 2025 will be distributed on August 21, 2025.
How to check the status of your application?
You can check the status of your application by going to the official website and selecting the “myPFD” option. You should ensure that your address is current, and if you signed the application electronically, you can update it online or complete the Change of Address Form and submit it to one of the designated offices.
