A 14-year-old boy was shot in broad daylight on a Queens street Friday and later found wounded in a park about a mile away, according to police.
The teen was shot in the thigh around 10:30 a.m. on Highland Avenue and Homelawn Street in Jamaica Estates, according to authorities.
He then went to Rufus King Park, located about a mile away at Jamaica Avenue and 150th Street, where someone called 911, according to police.
Later on Friday, it was unclear how he got there.
Responding EMS personnel rushed the boy to Northwell Cohen Children’s Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition but described as uncooperative with investigators, police and sources said.
Police are looking for two male suspects in connection with the daytime gunfire.
The violence comes about two weeks after a gun battle during a basketball tournament in a Bronx park left a 17-year-old girl in critical condition, killed a 32-year-old man, and injured three others.
Police said four suspects were arrested, two of whom were teen boys.
