Goddamn it! Because she was allegedly on a mission to “sacrificially kill” the former president over the weekend, an Indiana woman apparently had enough of Donald Trump.

After making threats against Trump on Facebook, 50-year-old Nathalie Rose Jones was taken into custody on Saturday. Then, according to authorities, she went from New York to Washington, D.C., with the intention of having him “eliminated.”

Jones tagged the FBI in her post without even trying to hide it. “With Liz Cheney and the entire Affirmation present, I am willing to sacrificially kill this POTUS by disemboweling him and cutting out his trachea,” she wrote.*

Federal investigators found that Jones had more than one post in his social media history. She accused Trump of causing “extreme and unnecessary loss of life” during the coronavirus pandemic, called his administration a dictatorship, and called him a terrorist.

There are now serious charges against Jones. She is charged with threatening to kill, kidnap, or cause bodily harm to the President of the United States in a criminal complaint submitted to the U.S. District Court. Additionally, she was accused of sending threats across state lines.

Federal Response and Charges Against Nathalie Rose Jones

Naturally, threats to harm a current or former president have been made before. However, Jones allegedly made her intentions clear before setting out to carry them out, which makes this most recent case unique.

In her response, DC U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro didn’t mince words. In a statement, she stated:

“Threatening the life of the President is one of the most serious crimes and one that will be met with swift and unwavering prosecution. Make no mistake—justice will be served. We extend our deepest gratitude to our dedicated law enforcement partners, especially the Secret Service Special Agents from New York and Washington, D.C., for their tireless commitment to protecting our leaders and our nation.”

Jones’ case is currently being handled by the U.S. Secret Service. The prosecution is being led by Assistant U.S. Attorney Josh Satter.
