A 67-year-old worker at Brooklyn IHOP was stabbed to death while cleaning the restaurant at closing time: New York Police Department

A 67-year-old IHOP employee was stabbed and killed near the end of his shift on Friday in a double stabbing at a Brooklyn restaurant, according to the NYPD.

Hector Reinoso-Perez was stabbed in the torso just before 11:40 p.m. on Friday night inside an IHOP in East New York, according to the NYPD.

During the knifeman’s rampage inside the pancake house, another unidentified 41-year-old man had his hand slashed. He refused medical attention on the scene.

Reinoso-Perez, of Brooklyn, was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center and later pronounced dead, according to officials.

The assailant, who is still at large, followed Reinoso-Perez, a cleaner, into a bathroom and fatally stabbed the elderly man, according to ABC 7 sources.

According to the NYPD, no suspects have been arrested, and the investigation is still ongoing.
