CHEYENNE, Wyo. — An 18-year-old Cheyenne man is facing criminal charges for destroying property, interfering with police, and consuming alcohol on July 14.
Marcus T. Clark faces a felony charge of property destruction over $1,000 as well as two misdemeanors: interference with a peace officer and underage alcohol consumption.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, Cheyenne police were dispatched to a home at 5:11 a.m. after receiving a report of a physical disturbance. Officers arrived to find Clark with blood on his hands, standing next to a truck in the driveway.
Clark initially refused several commands to move away from the truck and onto the sidewalk. He eventually agreed and was taken into custody. While handcuffing Clark, an officer noticed the odor of alcohol.
Investigators believe Clark broke a living room window, a screen door window, a bedroom window, and the truck’s driver-side window. Police reported that Clark’s hands and elbows appeared to have broken all of the windows.
Two witnesses reported seeing Clark break multiple windows. One witness reported seeing him smash the living room, screen door, and bedroom windows with his fists.
The other claimed they saw Clark break all four windows, adding that he used an elbow strike on the truck window.
The leaseholder estimated the cost of replacing all damaged windows at $5,000.
Clark is presumed innocent unless he pleads or is found guilty.
