A Columbia couple has been arrested for trafficking fentanyl and meth, and they are being held without bond

Two people have been charged with drug trafficking in Columbia.

According to court documents, the Columbia Police Department’s Vice, Narcotics, and Organized Crime unit identified D’Nozea V. Spain as a fentanyl dealer in 2022.

On June 4, 2025, Columbia police arrested someone who identified Spain as a fentanyl dealer.

The individual agreed to purchase drugs from Spain.

When the person called, they spoke with Spain’s girlfriend, Quaychell Nunnelly.

According to court documents, Nunnelly was charged with selling a “8 ball” or 3.5 grams of fentanyl for $180.

According to detectives, they followed Nunnelly to pick up Spain and then went to a gas station to make the sale.

Columbia police officers stopped Nunnelly and Spain’s vehicle.

During a search, detectives discovered three baggies containing 20 grams of fentanyl and 7.5 grams of methamphetamine.

Prosecutors charged Spain with first-degree drug trafficking and possession of a controlled substance.

They charged Nunnelly with first-degree drug trafficking.

Both were being held in Boone County Jail without bond.
