MIAMI – A 32-year-old woman reported meeting a man to apply for a job, and he raped her while driving her to the job site during an interview in Miami-Dade County, according to deputies.
According to records, the woman met Jarvin Chavez at Northwest 27 Avenue and Northwest 26 Street and informed him that she “works in any type of construction.”
According to the arrest report, Chavez, 49, offered her a job and drove her to the job site, a house, where he raped her before returning her to the meeting place and punching her in the face.
According to records, after the woman called 911 to report the sexual battery, deputies arrested Chavez and booked him into correctional facilities on Sunday.
Chavez was charged with sexual battery and battery. On Monday, a bond court judge ordered him to stay away from the victim, set his bail at $21,000, and placed him under house arrest.
