A FORMER A Texas Southern University football player was tragically killed on Friday.

Court documents show that a 22-year-old man has been charged with the victim’s death after shooting him.

Jasper Robinson has been arrested on a $200,000 bond after 24-year-old Tyler Martinez was found shot outside a Houston parking garage.

When police arrived at the Mac 4660 Apartments, they discovered Martinez with multiple gunshot wounds.

According to documents, Robinson confessed to the shooting upon returning to the scene.

He was a full-time student at Texas Southern University.

Witnesses told police that shots were fired after the two men got into a fight.

Both lived in the apartment complex where the incident occurred.

Martinez was on top of Robinson at one point before a woman associated with him retrieved a gun from a car and handed it to him.

According to documents, Martinez then appeared to leave Robinson and walk away before being shot three times in the torso.

Martinez died at the scene.

According to records, the suspect is a security guard, but it is unclear whether he works at the apartment complex where the crime occurred.

Robinson was arrested on the scene after confessing to the crime.

He has been charged with murder and booked into the Harris County Jail.

Following Martinez’s death, there was an outpouring of support on social media.

“Heartbreaking loss — thoughts are with his family,” one person wrote.

“Sad. “Prayers for the family,” another added.

“Damn, rest in peace,” a third added.

“Prayers,” a fourth replied.

“A life lost too soon justice must speak loud and clear,” someone else said.
