After attempting to force her partner to swallow it, the high school science teacher stabbed him in the neck with her earring: Police

An Arkansas woman who teaches high school science has been accused of domestic violence against her boyfriend.

According to an incident report obtained by local ABC and NBC affiliate KAIT, Stephanie Woods, 43, was having an argument with her 37-year-old boyfriend on Monday when things escalated.

Police said they responded to a call from a home in Paragould, Arkansas, around 4:30 a.m. that morning and discovered the couple, who had apparently been fighting over Woods’ conversations about “other men.”

Officer Keaton Massey of the Paragould Police Department responded and wrote the incident report. According to KAIT, he claimed that Woods “picked up an earring” and “stabbed” her boyfriend in the neck, on the right side, below his ear. He reportedly told police that the stud of the earring broke off and became lodged in his neck.

The boyfriend refused medical treatment. He told police that he and Woods began arguing because she was “talking about other men.”

Woods told police that she “was trying to put the earrings in his mouth during the argument.”

Police said Woods was arrested at the scene on suspicion of domestic battery. She was booked into the Greene County Detention Center and released on $5,000 bond that evening, according to KAIT.

According to KAIT, Woods currently teaches science at Greene County Tech High School in Paragould.
