An Idaho man who killed family members is given life sentences

50-year-old Jeremy Best, who admitted to killing his wife, unborn child, and 10-month-old son in 2023, was sentenced to three consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole at a Teton County hearing.

Best was the suspect in an Amber Alert issued in December 2023 for his son, Zeke. Investigators claim Best took Zeke after he murdered his pregnant wife.

One day after the Amber Alert was issued, hunters in Bonneville County discovered Best in a sleeping bag by the side of the road and notified authorities.

Before the sentences were handed down, 18 witnesses testified and five family members provided statements.
