Authorities are looking for a missing 93-year-old man in Swift Creek Canyon, east of Afton. Ned Eddins was reported missing to police on Tuesday.
On Wednesday morning, a family member told SVI News that Eddins had been missing since Saturday and was riding his ebike with his camera to photograph animals.
According to a family member, his bike and camera were found partially submerged in the water near the reservoir.
Star Valley Search & Rescue searched for Eddins Tuesday night but had to halt operations; the search resumed Wednesday morning.
As of 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Lincoln County Sheriff Shane Johnson said the search was still ongoing.
“The river is running high, which slows down our efforts. “They have a specific area of focus,” Sheriff Johnson stated. “We are trying to avoid having a bunch of the public going up there, which will just slow things down.”
