CHEYENNE, Wyo. — No, this is not a cow. A large dog? Couldn’t be. Isn’t it a bear? The pictures do not lie. A Cap City News reader spotted a black bear in the fields north of Cheyenne.
“We have pictures, and we saw Game and Fish show up,” Cap City News reader Amanda Chamberlin said.
She was reportedly driving along County Road 124 north of Cheyenne when she and her daughter saw the creature through the window.
Black bears roam much of North America, and while their native habitat in the Great Plains has been severely reduced, they can occasionally be seen wandering between grassy areas. Still, this guy seems out of place.
According to Chamberlin, Game and Fish quickly arrived and gave the bear directions.
