A Bridgeport man was arrested Monday afternoon after Morrill County Sheriff’s Office deputies located him on a felony warrant from Kimball County.
According to the sheriff’s office, at around 4:28 p.m. on August 25, deputies were notified of a male subject wanted for writing fraudulent checks to purchase firearms. Deputies were familiar with the man and knew he lived in Bridgeport.
The suspect, Izac Harms, was later found in his vehicle near Seventh and K streets. Because of the nature of the offense and the suspicion that Harms was armed, deputies made a felony stop near Seventh and Main Street.
Harms was taken into custody without incident. He was arrested with a firearm in his possession.
