Central Park will host a Charlie Kirk Vigil on Sunday evening

ABERDEEN, S.D. – A vigil honoring Charlie Kirk’s life will take place on Sunday night at 7 p.m. in Central Park.

According to the press release on Facebook it reads the following:

“This is a time for our community—and beyond—to come together in prayer, song, Scripture, and testimony to remember Charlie Kirk. He was a loving husband, father, son, and brother; a zealous defender of the faith; and an inspiration to our country and the world.

Charlie was unashamed of objective truth, putting God first and encouraging others to do the same. He frequently reminded us, “When people stop talking, violence follows.” He believed in respectful dialogue, courage in the face of adversity, and the ability of truth to liberate people.

This vigil is not only to remember Charlie’s life, but also to carry on his legacy of speaking boldly, living faithfully, and honoring God in our homes, schools, and nation.

We will gather in Aberdeen on the same day as Charlie’s memorial service, to stand in solidarity with his family and all those across the country who honor his legacy of faith and truth.”

The event is free and open to everyone.
