Cheyenne Woman Charged for Burglary

A 25-year-old Cheyenne woman is facing a burglary charge after allegedly shoplifting from a store where she was trespassing.

According to a booking sheet, police were called to Walmart at 2032 Dell Range Blvd. on Saturday, June 7, at 3:34 p.m. to report a trespassed female shoplifter.

Amber Rene Norman, who is currently prohibited from entering Walmart property due to a criminal trespass warning, was spotted under ringing items, according to police.

Officers located Norman and arrested her.

Norman was then reportedly placed in the WRAP and transported to the Laramie County Detention Center without incident, where she was charged with one count of burglary, a felony punishable by up to ten years in prison, a $10,000 fine, or both.

Norman will make her first appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court before Judge Antoinette Williams on Tuesday, June 10, at 9:45 a.m.

Please remember that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
