The Cowboy State Stock Horse Association celebrates 20 years as an active club in 2023. Our association is known for hosting many cow horse and stock horse events in Wyoming year-round. We want to thank our 2023 club sponsors: Quickspace and Rocky Mountain Agronomy.
Show Results:
On September 15, 16 & 17, CSSHA held its “Top Gun, Take Flight” 4th & 5th CSSHA Club Shows as part of the 20 th Anniversary Versatility Ranch Horse Show Series. Show results and year-end awards should be on the CSSHA website and Facebook page, and in the next issue of the Wrangler.
On Saturday, Sept. 16 CSSHA held its 20th Anniversary Celebration Dinner and Series Awards at the Fremont County Fairgrounds after the Saturday CSSHA Versatility Horse Show. They presented the CSSHA Hall of Fame, Most Improved, and Volunteer of the Year awards.
CSSHA also held its annual meeting Sept. 16, which included election of officers and board members for 2024. Results of the year-end awards, Sept. 16 th annual meeting, dinner, and election of officers will be shared soon after the show and meetings.

CSSHA 2023-2024 Winter Use of Central Wyoming College’s Rustler Ag & Equine Complex Arena
All weekends will begin with open riding at Rustler Ag & Equine Complex Arena, 1110 Day Drive, Riverton, Wyoming from 9 AM to 10 AM. Instruction and practice will be 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturdays.
Practice will begin at 10 AM on Sundays. The Jackpot, which begins at 1 PM, is optional for participants, but what a great way to test what you have learned. A buckle will be awarded for each month’s jackpot high score in both youth and adult divisions. To enter the jackpot, you must attend the clinic either Saturday or Sunday or both days that weekend.
CWC students can participate in the clinics/practices for free. The jackpot the entry fee of $20 will be assessed.
November 4 & 5, 2023 $40.00/day or $55.00 for two days
Saturday: Stockmanship 101/Reading Cattle and Practice
Sunday: Morning Practice/Afternoon Waddy Drive Jackpot $20.00
December 2 & 3, 2023 $40.00/day or $55.00 for two days
Saturday: Cutting/Herd Work Education and Practice
Sunday: Morning Practice/Afternoon Cutting Jackpot $20.00

CSSHA Club Info:
Club Meetings are usually held on the first Thursday evening of each month in Riverton WY, and a Zoom link is provided to call in for members outside of the area. Sometimes the meeting date and location changes, so check our Facebook page for the most up-to-date info.
Thursday, October 5 is planned to be our next club meetings, starting at 6:30 pm in Riverton at Scott Ratliff’s home.
