The Cowboy State Stock Horse Association celebrates 20 years as an active club in 2023. Our association is known for hosting many cow horse and stock horse events in Wyoming year-round. We want to thank our 2023 club sponsors: Quickspace and Rocky Mountain Agronomy.

CSSHA Club Fall/Winter Practices and Jackpots
Thanks to Rod and Pam Rivers who are working on the fall/winter schedule for the club’s Central Wyoming College weekend practices and jackpots in Riverton, WY.
New information: You’ll only need a health certificate the FIRST TIME you show up for our CSSHA 4-weekend winter series. That health certificate will also be valid if you are participating in the CWC Student’s Ranch Horse Versatility Show series this winter! Bring your
Health Certificate, Current Coggins, Vaccination record (or you can sign a waiver on-site), and for out-of-county or out-of-state horses bring a Brand Inspection.
All weekends will begin with open riding at Rustler Ag & Equine Complex Arena, 1110 Day Drive, Riverton, Wyoming from 9 AM to 10 AM. Instruction and practice will be 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturdays. Practice will begin at 10 AM on Sundays. The Jackpot, which begins at 1 PM, is optional for participants, but what a great way to test what you have learned. A buckle will be awarded for each month’s jackpot high score in both youth and adult divisions. To enter the jackpot, you must attend the clinic on either Saturday or Sunday or both days that weekend.
CWC students can participate in the clinics/practices for free. The jackpot entry fee of $20 will be assessed.
We held the first one on November 4 & 5, which was Stockmanship 101/Reading Cattle and Practice. On Sunday we had our Waddy Drive Jackpot. We had a great turnout, and everyone enjoyed the amazing facility and the practice with cattle and the Cowtrac flag.
Keep in mind we have concessions at these weekends at the CWC equine center! The 4-H Horse Judging Team will have beverages and donuts for sale, and also have lunch items both days. Please support them and plan to eat at the arena.

competition on Sunday was a Waddy Drive Jackpot, which will be covered in the next issue of the Wrangler.
