CSSHA News | May 20, 2023

The Cowboy State Stock Horse Association celebrates 20 years as an active club in 2023. Our association is known for hosting many cow horse and stock horse events in Wyoming year-round.

Club Meetings are usually held on the first Thursday evening of each month in Riverton WY, and a Zoom link is provided to call in for members outside of the area. Sometimes the meeting date changes, so check our Facebook page for the most up-to-date info. June 1 will be our next club meeting, starting at 6:30 p.m at The Sundowner Restaurant in Riverton. Come earlier to join us for some social time and have dinner.

CSSHA-sponsored Summer Clinics and Shows, 2023

To prepare for our 2023 show season, CSSHA hosted a Matt Kelly Cow Horse and Reining Clinic on April 29-30 in Thermopolis, Wyoming. A big thanks to Matt Kelly and Jori Skaggs for putting on this pre-season clinic and to the attendees who took the time to practice, practice practice! It was well-attended, with lots of learning for both riders and horses. Special thanks to volunteers Rives and Stephanie White for working the cattle pens, to Paula McCormick and Margie Rowell for
help with food and banners, and to the Skaggs family for providing the lunches. Photos will appear in the next issue of The WRANGLER, and on our Facebook page.
