DHS claims that Antifa doxed ICE officers in Portland

Two Oregon-based organizations that the Department of Homeland Security claims are affiliated with Antifa are being targeted for disclosing private information about Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers, NewsNation has learned.

The agency stated that two Portland groups, known as “Rose City Counter Info” and “The Crustian Daily,” are publishing the names, photos, and addresses of ICE officers on their websites and social media channels.

According to DHS officials, the two groups are among several organizations that appear to be responsible for publishing private information, as well as the identities of immigration agents and officers, and posting it in various locations throughout Portland.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said Friday that these efforts, known as doxing, put law enforcement officers “in grave danger” and could give other international criminal organizations, such as Tren de Aragua and MS-13, access to federal immigration officers and their families.

Noem’s warning comes as the agency reports that attacks on federal immigration officers and agents have spiked in recent months.

According to NewsNation, the Department of Homeland Security reports a nearly 700% increase in attacks on ICE officers. The agency has repeatedly reported significant increases in attacks on federal officers, but it does not provide hard data.

According to Fox News, 10 assaults and attacks on ICE officers occurred between January and June 2024, but the number increased to 69 incidents this year.

The agency has not specified what constitutes an assault on federal officers or agents. However, in a statement issued on Friday, Noem stated that DHS will take action against groups that publicly share sensitive information about ICE officers.

“We will prosecute those who dox ICE agents to the fullest extent of the law,” Noem told the crowd. “These criminals support vicious cartels and human traffickers. “We will not allow it in America.”

Noem’s warning came after DHS officials reported that two federal immigration officers were injured over the July 4 weekend in Texas when gunmen allegedly fired at them in two separate incidents.
