LOTRA will be hosting the iconic 129th Lander Pioneer Days Rodeo on July 3 and July 4 in Lander, Wyoming. Sponsored by Fremont Toyota, this “grand-daddy of them all” rodeo, the oldest paid rodeo in the world, is the real deal for a 4th of July experience. The Pioneer Days Rodeos feature Indian Relay Races each night for men, women and youth teams, bull riding, and saddle, bareback and ranch bronc riding, a businessmen’s ribbon roping, mini bulls for kids, along with all the western rodeo events you expect! Stay on July 4th for the best fireworks seats, starting after the rodeo.
Over $10,000 is added to payouts. This rodeo is WRA approved. Contestants can enter on June 24 by calling 307-349-8070, 307-349-8108, and 307-349-1981, or at our website LOTRA.org
Our stock contractors are Wind River Rodeo Co. for rough stock, Hoggan Rodeo Co. for timed events, and Jace Mitchell for mini-bulls and steer riding.
Here are contestant events, entry fees and added money:


6:30 p.m. Pre-rodeo events: Jr. Steer Riding, Mini Bulls, Pee Wee Barrels and Jr. Barrels
7:00 p.m. Grand Entry
Come early for the Pre-Rodeo events like mini bull riding. Don’t’ miss the crow-pleasing Indian Relay Races for Men, Women and Youth teams, which will be run each night. July 3 will have special events for children spectators like foot races.
Pre-sale tickets will be available starting June 15 at LOTRA.org or at: Lander Chamber of Commerce, Lander Parks and Rec. Dept., First Interstate Bank-Lander, Lander Ace Hardware, and Riverton’s Western Supply.
