“Operation Deuces Wild,” a multi-agency DUI Task Force campaign aimed at keeping impaired drivers off the road during Cheyenne Frontier Days, is proving effective, according to the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office.
19 DUI Arrests in 4 Days
According to Public Information Officer Brandon Warner, during the first four days of CFD, which began on Friday, July 18, the Task Force, which includes the Laramie and Albany County Sheriff’s Offices, the Cheyenne, Pine Bluffs, Laramie, and University of Wyoming Police Departments, as well as the Wyoming Highway Patrol, arrested 19 impaired drivers.
“We extend our sincere thanks to our dedicated Task Force partner agencies, whose commitment to public safety has made this collaborative effort possible,” said the deputy director.
Warner says DUI enforcement will be active throughout the 10-day celebration, and he encourages everyone to drive sober and make responsible decisions.
“Help us keep our community safe,” he told us. “Don’t let a DUI buck you off your ride!”
