100th Greeley Stampede opens with Xtreme Bulls showcase

It was opening night at the historic 100th Greeley Stampede filled with carnival lights, funnel cakes and the night’s main event, PRCA Xtreme Bulls, thanks to tonight’s event sponsor Bank of Colorado! Announcer, Will Rasmussen, and Barrelman, JW Winklepleck, kept the crowd entertained with witty banter once the chutes opened and fans got their first glimpse of the new JBS Arena Stage. On the floor keeping the riders safe was the talented cowboy protection team of Chuck Swisher, Wacey Munsell and Ryder Rich.

Staying on a bull for the full eight seconds is never an easy task, and tonight was no exception with only five riders out of fifty able to do so. With an impressive gathering of some of the best bull riders in the country, renowned stock contractor, Beutler & Sons Rodeo Company, provided some of the best rodeo athletes to compete against; the bulls. Taking home a prize of over $5,000 tonight and an Otterbox Venture 25 cooler along with a Montana Silversmiths belt buckle is Boudreaux Campbell from Crocket, TX riding bull 964G with a score of 89 points!

FINAL SCORES

Bourdreaux Campbell on 964G for 89 points

Bryce Burnell on Starship for 86.5 points

Maverick Potter on Nature Boy for 85 points

Trey Holston on 06G for 83.5 points

Hayes Thayne Weight on 98G for 82.5 points

The action continues at the 100th Greeley Stampede with sold out Brad Paisley concert in the arena. The first of the PRCA rodeo series starts Saturday, June 25th at 1pm sponsored by Chevron.
