About clinician, Keith Hall
I was born in Salem, Ohio and my family moved to Northern Colorado when I was very young. I am married and we have two kids, a daughter and a son. I spent most of my work life in the auto upholstery business. I won my own upholstery shop and work from my home. My wife had grown up around horses and I couldn’t break her of that bad habit. Finally, I decided to join her.
My first horse was a reiner who eventually became our daughter’s horse. I humped into attending reining clinics and learned a lot. I enjoyed the reining but it was hard to find many competitions locally. I saw an ad for a ranch sorting practice and decided to give it a go. As they say, the rest is history. I fell in love wit the ranch horse world. I started my own ranch sorting association to give people a casual and fun place to learn and compete. We started doing clinics and they were a hit.
This year, we became a producer for Ranch Sorting of America shows in Norther Colorado. Between putting on shows, practices, and going to other competitions, we keep pretty busy. I have won multiple state titles and in 2022 I won two national titles. I always look forward to the end of the work day so I can throw my saddle on my horse and get a ride in. It doesn’t matter whether it’s one ride, one hour, or one day; every minute spent with your horse gets you one step closer to your goal.
