The Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP) is advising drivers to seek alternate routes following a fatal crash on I-80 on Thursday.

On September 18, shortly before noon, a tractor trailer crash occurred on Interstate 80 near Arlington, Wyoming.

According to Cowboy State Daily, at least one person died and another was airlifted to a hospital for treatment of injuries.

“I-80 Eastbound is currently closed between Laramie and Rawlins due to a crash, and it is expected to be closed for several hours.” Expect delays on I-80 Eastbound or take an alternate route while we work with WYDOT and other emergency crews to clear the area and ensure everyone’s safety,” WHP stated.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.

This is a developing story.
