I have nothing to conceal. Mike Lindell, a former crack addict, prepares to testify in his billion-dollar defamation trial

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell is preparing for his billion-dollar defamation trial this week, revealing in interviews that he intends to testify and “speak the truth” — saying, “I’m not going to incriminate myself! “I have done nothing wrong.”

Lindell, 63, is being sued in federal court by Dominion Voting Systems for “maliciously spreading false claims” and accusing the company of “rigging the 2020 presidential election,” Dominion officials say.

Jury selection was set to begin Monday, according to Colorado Politics, with U.S. District Judge Nina Wang, a Joe Biden appointee, overseeing the case in Denver, Colorado.

“If any attorney advised me not to testify or take a deal, I’d tell them: ‘Never!'” Lindell told Rolling Stone last week.

“I speak the truth,” Lindell insisted. “I’ve been in many courts in my life, and ‘don’t testify’ is what they tell the guilty people, in my mind.”

Lindell appeared on Steve Bannon’s “War Room” podcast on Sunday, joking about brandishing one of his famous pillows after a lawyer in the case described them as “lumpy” in a previous interview.

“I told my lawyers, maybe I should bring him one inside,” according to Lindell.

The case gained attention in April when Wang issued a scathing rebuke to Lindell for submitting a court filing allegedly riddled with errors because his attorney allegedly used a generative artificial intelligence program, citing several court cases that do not exist.

“These defects include, but are not limited to, misquotations of cited cases; misrepresentations of principles of law associated with cited cases, including discussions of legal principles that simply do not appear within such decisions; misstatements regarding whether case law originated from a binding authority such as the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit; misattributions of case law to this District; and, most egregiously, citation of cases that do not

Lindell has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in the case, telling Rolling Stone, “I didn’t go into this haphazardly,” referring to his jury trial and testimony.

“Of course I’m gonna testify at my own trial,” he joked. “I’ve got nothing to hide. I am a former crack addict, and I have always been open about it. I’ve always been upfront about everything! I am extremely open and honest. So I have nothing to hide during this trial.”

Lindell’s trial is expected to last approximately two weeks, according to Colorado Politics.

The witness list includes both former and current Mesa County officials, including disgraced Mesa County clerk Tina Peters, who was the first election official found guilty of a felony in connection with 2020 election conspiracy theories.

Both sides plan to call Kurt Olsen, a former Trump attorney who lobbied the DOJ to investigate a slew of Trump’s petty grievances about the election.
