The heavy downpour caused brief street flooding in low-lying areas, and fields throughout the region became saturated. Communities such as Winfield, Hutchinson, and Coffeyville also reported steady rain as the storm system moved northeast. Drivers are urged to avoid flooded roads and stay alert for hydroplaning risks, especially on highways like I-35 and US-400.
