Lander City Council will have four public hearings during its regular meeting Tuesday

(Lander, WY) – The Lander City Council will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, August 12, at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 240 Lincoln Street.

The agenda contains four public hearings for:

a resolution amending the fiscal year 2024-2025 budget

an ordinance establishing comprehensive regulations for Lander’s public and private community forest 

an ordinance amending compensation for officers and employees

an ordinance granting a franchise to Visionary Communications

Later in the meeting, the council will consider whether to approve all four items.

Under unfinished business, the council will consider approving a second reading ordinance to rezone a Smith Creek Road parcel from multi-family residential to agricultural.

The council will also vote on a resolution that updates the construction plans for the Baldwin Creek/South Ninth Complete Streets Project.

Other action items on the agenda are:

approve a resolution amending job descriptions for the assistant public works director and police chief

authorize the mayor to sign an advertising agreement

approve a contract for appeal representation

award an $85,818 bid for two 2026 AWD Dodge Durango Pursuit Vehicles 

An executive session will be held to discuss the purchase of real property.

Following the executive session, the council will consider authorizing the mayor to sign a real estate purchase agreement for a 0.76-acre parcel of land.

Tuesday’s meeting is open to the public in person and will be live streamed on Zoom.
