(Lander, WY) – Stephanie Rhine, a kindergarten teacher at Gannett Peak Elementary, received the first-ever “Rising Star Educator” award from the Wyoming Department of Education at the TeachCon conference last week.
“This award highlights a new teacher (5 years of experience or less) who has shown exceptional promise and dedication in their early years of teaching, demonstrating a potential for a remarkable career in education,” Gannett Peak Elementary Principal Megan Park told County 10.
“Stephanie was the sole recipient of this award and was nominated by administrators and colleagues at Gannett Peak.”
FCSD #1 had a fantastic night overall at the conference, where Rachel Peters (National winner PAEMST), Richard Atnip (State finalist PAEMST), and Morgan Hahn (State Teacher of the Year) were recognized for their achievements, and Lander Valley High School was named one of Degenfelder’s Schools of Excellence for 2025.
