Major Rollover Crash in Ottawa County Leaves Several Injured

Several Injured in Ottawa County Rollover Crash After Red Light Run

GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A rollover crash on Saturday afternoon sent multiple people to the hospital after a pickup truck ran a red light in Ottawa County, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of northbound US-31 and Hayes Street.

Deputies say a 59-year-old woman from Hart was driving a Dodge Ram northbound on US-31 when she failed to stop at a red light at Hayes Street. As a result, her truck collided with a Buick Lacrosse traveling eastbound on Hayes, driven by a 28-year-old man from Livonia.

The impact caused the Dodge Ram to flip over and come to rest upside down on US-31.

The truck’s driver and her passenger, a 61-year-old Hart man, were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. The driver of the Buick and his passenger, a 26-year-old Livonia woman, suffered minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
