Man Arrested After Violent Stabbing Incident in Luzerne County, Police Say

HANOVER TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WOLF) —
Authorities in Luzerne County are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred Thursday at the Hanover Village Apartment Complex, which led to the arrest of one woman.

Police say they were called to the complex after receiving a report of a disturbance involving a weapon. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered that a man had sustained a stab wound to his abdomen. Fortunately, the injury was superficial and did not require hospitalization or medical treatment, according to officials.

The suspect, identified as Clary Negron Rodriguez, was arrested shortly after the incident. She is now facing charges of assault and harassment related to the attack. Investigators have not yet released information about what led up to the stabbing or whether the victim and suspect knew each other.

After being taken into custody, Negron Rodriguez was transported to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility. She remained there overnight, awaiting arraignment. Police have not disclosed whether she is facing any additional charges or if bail has been set.

The Hanover Township Police Department says the case is still under investigation, and more details may become available as they continue to gather evidence and interview witnesses.
