Pike, N.Y. — A massive four-alarm fire broke out early Sunday morning, completely destroying a former roller rink in Wyoming County.
Fire crews were called to the scene in Pike around 7:30 a.m. and battled the flames for roughly six hours before bringing the blaze under control.
According to Pike Fire Chief Doug Anderson, the building was no longer in use as a rink and had been repurposed by its current owner for storing household items.

“We had 21 tankers from multiple districts, covering three to four counties, along with three ambulances on site,” Anderson said. “There were a lot of tanker shuttles to maintain a steady water supply.”
Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident, but the structure was completely destroyed. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
