by A 57-year-old man from Grand Rapids, Michigan, tragically drowned Saturday evening at Turkey Run State Park in Parke County, Indiana.
The Parke County Sheriff’s Office received the emergency call around 7:30 p.m. near the park’s suspension bridge. Rescue crews quickly responded and recovered the man’s body from the water just over an hour later, at 8:31 p.m.
The Parke County Coroner pronounced him dead at the scene.
Officials from the Parke County Sheriff’s Office and Indiana Conservation Officers were among those who responded to the incident.
