New dispatcher and Riverton Youth Council will take oaths of office during the Riverton City Council meeting on Tuesday

(Riverton, WY) –  The Riverton City Council will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, in the Council Chambers of Riverton City Hall, located at 816 N. Federal Blvd.

The meeting’s agenda includes introductions and oaths of office for a Riverton Police Department dispatcher and the Riverton Youth Council.

Mayor Tim Hancock will also sign a proclamation designating September 2025 as Hunger Action Month.

A public hearing will be held before the council considers Fremont County School District 25’s fireworks permit application on September 5, October 3, October 17, October 24, October 31, and November 7.

On third reading, the council will also consider two ordinances: Stover Addition Alley Vacation and Nevin Circle Vacation.

Additional agenda items include:

a gasoline and diesel fuel service contract

an Authority to Render Services Agreement for the West Main Water Replacement Project

an airport lease agreement

National Opioid Settlement agreements

An executive session will be held if needed before adjournment.

The meeting on Tuesday will be preceded by the Finance Committee meeting at 6:45 p.m. in the same location.

Both meetings are open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on the city’s YouTube channel, which also hosts previous meeting recordings.
