OHIO — A shooting occurred early Thursday morning in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, killing one person and injuring another, according to Cincinnati police.
The shooting happened around 12:35 a.m. on Walnut Street, near Corwine Avenue.
Officers said one victim, 30-year-old Brandon Lawrence, was taken to UC Medical Center and pronounced dead.
A second victim, whose name has not been released, was privately transported to Christ Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Several streets in the area were closed by police during the investigation, but they have all since reopened.
Authorities have not yet released any suspect information. Police are investigating the incident as a homicide and conducting witness interviews.
